Barton on Sea Golf Club
Barton-on-Sea Golf Club, founded in 1897, is situated on the coastal cliff between Highcliffe and Milford-on-Sea and its 27 holes are a combination of the original Harry Colt design from 1932 and newer holes, completed in 1992, designed by J. Hamilton Stutt, a founder member of the Association of British Golf Course Architects.
All 27 holes provide a good test for golfers of all abilities with the advantage of having the choice of three 18 hole combinations, no starting times and unparalleled views of the sea. Practice facilities are excellent with a large driving range, short game area (with bunker) and putting greens. We are renowned as the ‘Friendly Club’ with an excellent condition Course and superb drainage which means we stay open when others are closed. We never have temporary greens and few trolley or buggy bans.
Our elegant clubhouse commands superb views across the Solent to the Needles on the Isle of Wight, along to Old Harry Rocks at Swanage. Situated overlooking the lake and an Island green, the Clubhouse offers something for everyone. Barton–on–Sea extends a warm welcome to visitors and societies offering a friendly service from the bar and restaurant. Relax with a drink in the bar or on the balcony while enjoying a delicious meal or snack.
